Estero, Fla.—The Florida Jr. Blades are proud to announce the signing of Josh Koepplinger. A native of Saginaw, MI, Koepplinger is a three-sport athlete with a history of success in Michigan sports.

The 6-foot-1 forward has a knack for finding the net and a physical presence on the ice.

“Koepplinger is a physical player who doesn’t shy away from tough situations,” said head coach Todd Pococke. “He has great physical strength from training in different sports (football, baseball and hockey) and the vision and hands to bury the puck.”

During the 2012-13 season, Koepplinger recorded 55 goals, six of which were the game winner. He amassed an impressive 82 points that season (55g, 27a) proving to be not only a goal scorer, but a playmaker.

With a team striving for balance, coaches feel Koepplinger is an essential addition.

“We recruited diligently this off season to build a balanced team,” said Pococke. “Koepplinger is a well-balanced player who knows when to take the shot, but can also set up his teammates. He brings skill on the ice and character to the locker room.”
